Het huis op een rots gebouwd
In de eerste twee delen ‘Over de parabels van Jezus’ (Een zaaier ging uit en De laatsten zullen de eersten zijn) besprak de auteur respectievelijk 11 en 9 parabels vanuit canonieke, gnostische en apocriefe teksten, die hij naast inzichten uit andere spirituele en religieuze tradities plaatste.
In Het huis op een rots gebouwd is dezelfde werkwijze gevolgd. Vier parabels van Jezus, die verrassend actueel blijken te zijn, worden toegelicht. De auteur voert de lezer mee naar het oude Palestina, waar Jezus de weg tot bevrijding onderrichtte. Van daaruit spant hij een tijdsboog naar het heden. Godsdienst is een instrument van macht, manipulatie en uitbuiting in de handen der ‘goden’ en van hen die deze goden dienen. Duistere krachten blijken de mens te willen afhouden van zijn pad tot bevrijding. Jezus wees daar herhaaldelijk op. De penwortel van het kwaad, oorzaak van alle lijden, wordt blootgelegd. Om te ontsnappen aan de vernietiging van onze planeet, dient de mensheid zich met de grootste spoed bewust te worden van haar ware oorsprong, spirituele kracht en liefde. Alle wijsheidsleraren hebben gewezen op ons immense spirituele potentieel.
In deze stormachtige tijd worden we uitgenodigd ons huis te bouwen op de rots. De rots van waarheid, licht en liefde, waardoor ons stoffelijk lichaam kan transformeren in een lichtlichaam en wij kunnen terugkeren in de oceaan van bewustzijn, licht en liefde.
Minder bekende legenden en Het Hooglied van Maria Magdalena krijgen speciale aandacht. Tevens wordt ingegaan op Maria Magdalena als levensgezellin van Jezus.
Ook dit deel is geïllustreerd met afbeeldingen uit schilderkunst, alchemie, prentenbijbels en volkskunst.
